ISSUES

Working to grow our shared values and create positive change for hard-working Missouri families.
EDUCATION

Our school system in District 140 is not only our largest employer; it is a great source of pride in our community, and a significant driver of our property values. Our public schools are critical in developing the future leaders of Christian County and beyond.

Supporting our public schools is something we all can agree on. As your representative, I will work to ensure that we fully support our commitment to our kids and community to provide quality public education. Our students should have access to free, quality public education, teachers should be able to make a living wage and feel respected in their profession and our parents should feel engaged as partners in the school community.

Jobs

A strong economy is one that works for everyone. I want to work with local business and community leaders to hear about how we can bring new businesses to our community that want to capitalize on our skilled Missouri workforce and quality of life. You all work hard, so in Jefferson City I’ll work hard for you. I’ll support policies that support a stable economy that provides you with the opportunity to earn a good living & retire with dignity.

Economic Resiliancy

I will support policies that bolster our economic resilience and bring our paid tax dollars back to reinvest in our community.

I will be a good steward of our tax dollars.

Health Care

Access to safe, equitable & affordable health care provides us with the freedom to live happy, fulfilling lives. In our community, people are concerned about access to affordable and quality health care. We have all heard from family and friends about the struggle to buy expensive medications and unexpected health care costs causing catastrophic financial burden. It is also important to protect the current assets of our health care, like the freedom to change jobs without fear of losing insurance due to pre-existing conditions, and the ability to keep our young adult children on our health care.

Instead of remaining a private issue between ourselves, families and trusted health care providers, our health care has become a target of control. Politicians who have claimed to stay out of private affairs and freedoms should not dictate the health care of adult individuals and families. Everyone deserves the freedom of privacy to choose safe decisions regarding medical, behavioral and reproductive health care.

Clean Water

Over the past 20 years, we have seen tremendous growth in our community. We have doubled in population and have seen an increase need for clean water and waste disposal through aging treatment systems. We have already felt the financial impact of this individually and collectively. As the years go on, we need to make sure that we have reasonable guardrails in place to protect our drinking water, and natural water in our lakes and streams. Avoiding the the catastrophic effects of the absence of clean water for our city systems, our private wells and our natural lakes and streams like other states and communities are presently experiencing.

More and more people have moved to our county/state from places that are presently experiencing water availability and face astronomical physical and financial hurdles to overcome clean water shortages. Putting in reasonable guardrails now will mean clean water in the future for everyone in our community to drink, to enjoy leisure activities and to maintain our property values.
