About Rebecca Stipp Jensen

I grew up in the Neosho area, I graduated from East Newton High School, and went on to graduate from Crowder College and MSSU. I have worked in Education for 12 years working with special needs children. I have been married to my husband Steve (an Army veteran) for over 20 years, and we have two daughters.

After having a conversation with a friend regarding local politics, and realizing the incumbent was running unopposed, I decided to throw my hat into the ring and be a voice for change in District 160. Over the last 8 years, there has been an overwhelming push in Missouri politics to the far-right. I could no longer stand by and watch Republican's push our state further towards authoritarianism and HOPE my vote was enough to instigate common sense change. My decision to run comes down to one thing, I am acting to be the change I want to see in the world.

I am passionate about our state and our district politics. I want to understand what the people and businesses in our state and district need.

A women’s right to reproductive health care is a major state issue. Women have a fundamental right to bodily autonomy and to make private health care decisions with the advice of their doctor. Politician's making decisions that adversely affects our private lives violates the core Constitutional values of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. We have the right to live our lives based on our own personal belief systems, without having others personal beliefs forced upon us.
