Recently a constituent reached out to ask my stance on several issues important to him and his family. We had a productive and meaningful exchange, and I made sure to give thorough and thoughtful answers. At the end of our conversation, I received this message.
I'm not aiming to #flipthe120th because of a party affiliation, being the first woman to hold this seat, or because of my last name. I'll win this seat because I care about listening to every person - whether they stop me at the grocery store, send me a message, or pull me aside after a chamber luncheon. As I've said before, we're all tired of the divisiveness and are ready for legislators who will do just that - legislate.
