Tonight was a wonderful time with the Greater Kansas City Women's Political Caucus who hosted this year's Torch Awards. We gathered to acknowledge the contributions of women who have spent their lives working toward greater equality for women in our city and beyond. We celebrate the women who are leaders in the ongoing struggle for women to have equal access to the political and professional world. This year the people of Missouri have fought hard, thousands of volunteers, and countless hours to win the right to bring Question 3 to the ballot. We celebrate this victory and recommit to our struggle for our right to control our own bodies and have access to the medical care we need. I am grateful to the Greater Kansas City's Women's Political Caucus for highlighting the many women working to make the world a better place.
