Today was difficult, but good. I got to join in some conversations with union representatives and allies from throughout the metro area at 40 Club. Some technological limitations left me a little bit flustered when it was my turn to speak but my audience was gracious and receptive. I have the opportunity to listen to Melissa Johnson candidate for Jackson County prosecutor speak. I’m glad I went first.
Later, I picked up my letter of endorsement and extremely generous contribution from the UAW. I’m beyond grateful for the support and guidance they have given me. I look forward to the opportunity to represent the interests of labor and unions in the Missouri House of Representatives and be voice for the working class people who’s hard work and dedication to their families and communities are the foundation of our state and country. If I look tired, it’s because I am. 70-hour work weeks will wear you down but it’s hard to rest when Missouri’s future is on the line. 55-days to go!
