Heartland Labor Forum

Candidates running for office in districts 16, 17, and 34 were invited on KKFI 90.1 Labor Forum where discussed important topics in labor; minimum wage, prevailing wage, women’s reproductive rights, and more. It was good conversation with hosts Judy Morgan and Tom Gebkin, and two of my fellow candidates, Shirley Mata and Kemp Strickler.

I enjoyed the opportunity to share my stance on important issues with voters and to speak of the importance of supporting increases in minimum wage, benefits, and workers' rights. I wonder at the absence of all of the Republican candidates who did not prioritize this opportunity to speak to the issues of working class people.

I am thankful for this opportunity and to have my first experience as a participant in a live podcast.
